Saynatsalo Town Hall. We stayed in 'Elissa' one of 2 guestrooms. The building program consists of: the officials' offices, meeting rooms, and council chamber; a library; retail spaces; and living units, centered around the raised courtyard.

the stair leading to the council chamber is just wide enough for a good story telling.

I've always like Aalto's designs. Never realized that the counter stools were his designs. We bought them almost 30 years ago on sale! Nice pics!!!
